General Background
The F-15SG (formerly F-15T) is a variant of the F-15E, ordered by the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF). F-15SGs were chosen on 6 September 2005 over the Dassault Rafale. The F-15SG remains critical to continue having air superiority aircraft over neighboring countries that deploy state of the art Russian aircraft. The RSAF's F-15SG is an all-weather multi-role fighter designed to achieve air superiority over the battlefield. The F-15SG is the most advanced version of the Eagle with its great speed, maneuverability, electronics and weapons.
The Aircraft
Between June and September 2023 the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) will celebrate its 55th anniversary. At the National Day Parade the RSAF will put on an enhanced aerial display showcasing their aircraft with markings honoring their humble beginnings in 1968 until present day. The logo for the anniversary is the number 55 with a shape of its first aircraft; a Hawker Hunter emerging from the bottom with an F-15SG in a vertical climb representing the RSAF journey through 55 years up to today and the future.
