Occupation: Engineer
Total No. of Collections : 80+ Aircraft 1/72 and 1/48, the half Hobby Master
Favorite HM Models : F-105, F-101, A-1, Fw-190
Reasons for Collecting : My father served in the german airforce, working on the RF-104 G Starfighter as an electrician and he told me a lot from this time when I was a child. This was the base of my fascination about aircraft. As a teenager I built plastic kits. But they were light and fragile, so a lot of them got damaged . In 2010 I found a F-105 "Hanoi Special" at ebay and was thrilled about it´s weight and finish. A couple of Vietnam veterans follow. Then I switched to WW II and grabbed me a lot of single-seat fighter in 1/72. A nice offer brought me Wilhelm Moritz´ Fw-190 A-8/R2 and I was thrilled again, turning my focus on 1/48. I´m very pleased with the Hobby Master models because they give me always a well executed model with a great detail and the feel of a heavy piece of metal!
Most Expected Future Models: In 1/48: early Fw-190s, the upcoming P-47 Razorback and someday a Bf-109 G-6. In 1/72: a RF-104 G of Aufklärungsgeschwader 52 (Airbase Leck, 1970/71), to donate it to my father.
